This weeks ad tip comes from Vanessa with The Right Words – The Right Way.

One thing that Vanessa has used and recommended is creative couponing. She particularly remembers one client who owned a small novelty items store. She had her teenage children and their friends roam the mall wearing T-shirts that had her slogan/logo on the front and the words “say shirt for 20% off purchase” on the back. It was relatively inexpensive and surprisingly effective at bringing in impulse buyers as she planned the timing carefully. There are lots of ways to create unique coupons, from varying the shape, materials or style of traditional send-outs to using unusual items.
