One of the problems I have these days is choosing among so many great options for marketing, as you’ve listed above. Too much of a good thing is still too much! I’d love to see a post where you help us identify which marketing resources to use when :-)

For instance, I don’t do a lot of local or live events these days; I’m pretty much a virtual person. Some of the marketing tools that work in a live setting just don’t apply for my online efforts. Yet, when I DO have a live event, I still rely on the flyers, biz cards, etc.

Then there is the message-to-market-match thing.

Your thoughts?

Nancy, that is a hard decision to make. At times the best way to handle that is to try a place for a couple of months to see if it will work. Another option is to find a way to increase your marketing budget so you can add more sites.

Marketing online and offline are completely different for a lot of reasons. You can’t hand a person your business card when you meet them online.
