Ok, I started thinking about my goals on Friday of last week. Carrie Lauth posted a article challenge last week and I’ve been considering it. You can read more about her challenge here. Basically you write 30 articles in 30 days.
Now, the problem I’m having is I write articles in my ghostwriter business and I’m a VA and have my VA clients that I do work for as well. Plus, I have a family. My oldest son starts his football games this week as well. I’m worried about the time factor.
I’ve been watching Carrie on Twitter this weekend and she has been writing articles over the weekend and not just one per day. If that’s the case, I might be able to get this done. So, with that said, I think I might go ahead and do it. If all else fails, I can write several on Saturday and Sunday.
So, here are my goals for the month.
10 articles for client
1 article for WBO
4 articles for WAHMZone
2 articles for Woman2Woman Lounge
1 article for http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y177/momof2boys1975/CorrieSignature.jpg

Well, you know typing up (or writing out) your goals means you’re actually half way there! Most people don’t achieve their goals because they don’t actually write them out. It sounds simple but it’s actually very effective. I’m a big fan of writing my goals (To Do lists)and I know that, though I may not achieve everything on the list, I’ll certainly achieve more because I’ve written it down.
I’ve also pledged to write my 30 articles in 30 days and, because of a busy weekend away from home, haven’t actually started them yet! However, I have all my topics planned, and will make a start on a couple tonight.
Good luck with your writing!
Annette
Wow, that’s a lot of work for one month. I did write 6 articles this weekend. So I know I can have a few days of no writing during the month.
Annette – I really hope writing them down will help. I have them stored in my head, but I think that may be part of the reason why they are not reached. Things happen and you forget. Having them down on the computer makes them easier to remember and focus on.
The challenge is a good one and will make it easier to continue to do each month. 30 articles a month will be wonderful when you are in need of articles to submit whether you use them on your blog or submit to directories. Makes great content. If I don’t do it again it will leave me with a wonderful feeling and I will have articles to submit to my columns which will help when I’m feeling stressed.
Good luck with your writing as well. Here’s to reaching our goals!
Audrey – you are well on your way to reaching the 30 articles in 30 days or the 2000 words a week. Whichever goal you are working on.
Here’s to a great month!
