5. When you hit the three week before your due date mark you need to start documenting everything you do and don’t do. The reason for this task is you don’t know when you’re going to have the baby so it’s a good idea to have this list each day so you can pass that on to your clients when the day comes.

6. The next communication you’ll have with your clients will be the day you go into labor or the day before you’re scheduled for your C-section. You’ll need to give your list to each client so they know where you are with things and what still needs to be done. You’ll also need to let your clients know when you plan to return and how things will work with the baby.

Having a baby is the most wonderful thing and it’s very exciting. When you run a Virtual Assistant you need to prepare both you and your clients. Keeping your clients in the loop will help them be prepared for it and they’ll be able to help you to prepare themselves for the time you’ll be taking off when the baby arrives.

Now planning to use your free time for yourself is another option and one you might want to consider if you don’t do that very often. There are a number of things you can do by yourself. Taking a bubble bath, going shopping, reading a good book, or taking a nap are just a few of the many things you can do during this special time.

The main thing you need to do with this option is to make sure you have the money you need if you’re going shopping or anything else that would require that or you’ll need to make sure you have the things you need if you plan to do something at home such as a bubble bath or reading a book.

When you have time to yourself, it’s important you make the most of it. Whether you decide to work your business or take me time, make it work for you. Plan ahead and know exactly what you’re going to do and how you’re going to do it. When you do this, you’ll be glad you did.

One valuable tool to use is Hootsuite. You’ll want to sign up for this service so you have the ability to publish posts in Twitter, Facebook, Facebook fan page, and LinkedIn. One post will have the ability to go to four or more places within a few seconds and you only have to do it once and it’ll go to all of the places you set up. Hootsuite gives you the ability to create a post for all of your groups you’re signed up for or you can do it for just one. The greatest thing about Hootsuite is the ability to schedule your posts.

It’s a good idea to decide how many posts you’re going to make in Hootsuite each day and how many in a day you want to do. For Twitter it’s good to do between four and six a day, but it’s crucial you step in and reply to people, make other types of posts, and post tips or suggestions during each day. For Facebook it depends on the amount of time you want to spend in there. You’ll want to drum of traffic in one way or another and encourage people to join in on the conversation.

If you plan to outsource tasks it’s a good idea to create a plan so you both know what’s going to happen and when. Your VA can post in Hootsuite for you, she can submit your articles, manage your blog, and create your newsletter. A ghostwriter can write articles and blog posts for you. Create a Google Doc that contains general information, for example, if you plant to have four Twitter posts a day, you can add a time for each post. Your business goals are the key to your success. Without goals you won’t know what to do with your business. You must write them down and break them into small, easy to grasp, goals that you know you can achieve. This is what I did to start my New Year with goals.

I wrote my yearly goals down and then broke them down into weekly goals. When I started out doing this, I created a Google Document that had everything in it that I needed to reach each of my weekly goals. One of my documents contained the days I need to do my Twitter posts, the times they need to go out, and what I’m going to post each day. Then I created a document that contains the posts I’m going to make and this meant each category and what the post itself was going to be. Once I did that I was ready to write everything down in my new planner. When all of this was completed I was ready to begin my first week of January.

I’ll tell you what, my first week was a little rough at the beginning, but once I had a couple of days under my belt I realized it was going to work. I was going to be able to make this happen. I feel after a couple of weeks I’m going to start to see the success from my work and that’s going to be the best feeling every. I know this is going to work if I continue to put the work into it. I can do this because God wants to see me succeed.

Theme calendar’s for your blog are a perfect way to continually make posts on your blog. How many times have you sat down to write a post and nothing comes to mind? This happened to me on a regular basis and it was frustrating to me. I knew what my blog was supposed to do for me, but I couldn’t make it happen.

I started using my Google calendar to not topics I could cover on specific days and you’d be amazed at the posts I was able to make. Now I didn’t always follow those tips and that was ok because I was still able to make a post. I was also amazed at the traffic I had coming to my blog when I would post every day.

One thing I realized along the way is you don’t have to always use your own posts. Guest bloggers are perfect fillers and so are other people’s articles. As long as you giver credit, you’ll be fine.

Another advantage to using other people’s posts and articles is the traffic you’ll gain when you give them a shout out on Twitter or Facebook. Their followers and friends will want to see what you posted about them and they’ll visit your blog. That’s an awesome way to put your blog in front of people that wouldn’t see it otherwise.

So the next time you find you have a few minutes create a calendar and add topics to it for your blog. You’ll be so glad you did when you find yourself in a situation where you can’t come up with a post.
