Setting goals is an important part of my business and it’s something I must do each year or I won’t know what to do to have success and I won’t know how it’s going to happen. I do this each year in late December and it’s something I look forward to it each year. I do a lot of thinking in December and that helps me to know what I’m going to list as my goals.

I have a lot of goals that all link together into one major goal and that major goal is to increase the income for my business. Each goal that I have under the major goal will help me to reach the ultimate goal. Each of the minor goals has to do with the different pieces to my business. When each one is utilized I’ll reach my goals.

I’m excited about the New Year and everything it has to offer. Each goal I achieve is exciting and it’s a wonderful feeling. Celebrating is huge as well and I have a plan for those as well. Yay!

I hope you’ve set goals for your business as well as yourself and your family. If you need encouragement or help, be sure to find someone that can help you make it happen. Having a friend or coach to help you is what you need to continue to be encouraged and feel the need to work your business.

Goals are very important for business owners to create. Goals help you to achieve more with your business. I don’t know about you, but that’s what I’m all about. As a Virtual Assistant I run my business for others. I love to help people grow their business and reach success. When they achieve more I achieve more and that’s what it’s all about.

Your goals need to be based on the type of business you run. It’s important to step out of the box a bit and your goals will help you make this happen. If you have never done that before, it’s best to start out slow. Create one goal that’s a bit of a stretch and go from there. If you do well with that goal, you may need to readjust your goals and ad more stretch goals.

When you create your goals it’s important to make them as detailed as possible. You need to know what it will take to reach them and the best way to do that is to write out weekly and daily goals so you know what it will take. That will help you to create your to-do list and that will help you to achieve your goals.

If you need help achieving your goals, you need to consider hiring a Virtual Assistant to help you make it happen. Outsourcing certain tasks will help you to achieve more and that will help you to reach your goals.

Today is January 1st and it’s the first day of 2012. I’m very excited about this year and everything it has to offer. I’ve set my goals and starting today, I’m working them and praying I can achieve each and everyone of them. I’ll share some of my goals later in the week so be on the look out for that post.

One of my goals is to make more blog posts here so I’m participating in the Ultimate Blog Challenge. Another one of my goals is to write more articles. Last year I participated in a 100 articles in 100 days article challenge put on my Ezine Articles and the traffic was amazing. I ended the year with 300 articles in Ezine Articles and I’m going to increase that number again this year.

So as you can see content is one of my goals. I’m planning to use that content to my advantage and you’re going to want to make sure you’re a part of my network so you can read everything I’m posting so it will help you as well.

Today is the start of the next Ultimate Blog Challenge and it’s going to be a good one. I’m really looking forward to this as I have learned so much from the ones I have done in the past.

One of the biggest things I discovered with the last challenge was the types of posts I was making. When I would strictly post articles my views were not as high as they were when I would do regular posts. Each time I would check the stats for an article and a blog post, the blog post would win almost every time.

So this time around I’m creating a calendar that is sure to guide me through this process and help me to make regular posts more often. I have started the calendar and hopefully by the end of the weekend it will be ready to go. This will help me to stay on track and ready to go with each day.

So here’s to a successful month. A month of goals being achieved, time spent with the family, and down time all wrapped in one. It is possible for all of these things to be achieved if you figure out what it will take and then make it happen.

When you find yourself doing well in your business you might think things are perfect and it couldn’t get any better, but that’s not always correct. Once you hit a level of success you’ll want to see more. You’ll want to increase your income and grow your business so you can have even more growth, but that may not be able to happen by yourself. You’re going to need help.

When business is growing and you’re reaching success, it’s always a good idea to hire a Virtual Assistant to help you keep up with it. When you’re almost at a point where you’ve reach the success you’re striving for, you may need that extra help to make it work. It’s also possible when you’re so close you may feel the pressure and start to stress. This is when a she can help you the most.

Concentrating on the tasks that will help you grow is what you need to do at this point. There may be things that are not necessary to make that happen and those are the things you need to outsource to a Virtual Assistant. These tasks could include email, blog, and newsletter management, social networking, or other tasks that are specific to your business. Basically this means you can and should outsource any task that is needed but doesn’t directly make you money.

Are you puzzled about a task you want to do with your business? Maybe you’d like to add a product or service, but you don’t know how to make it happen. That can definitely puzzle you if you don’t know where to start or what steps to take to make it work.

Don’t allow that puzzled feeling lead you away from what you want to do. There are a number of ways to get through this, but it won’t happen if you don’t ask for help. You need to find the people that will have the ability to help you make your task a success.

Depending on the task you may need to hire a Virtual Assistant, a Ghostwriter, a Partner, or some other person to help you reach the success you’re looking for. If you don’t find the right person or people to help you then it’s a waste of your time and you might as well give up. Now that’s not what you want, so don’t do that, instead find those people and get started.

The only way to know who you need on your side for the task you want to work is to sit down and write everything down. At first when you do this you may not think it’s going to work, but as you go on, you will see everything fall into place and you’ll know exactly who you need to make it happen.

Finding time to make phone calls to potential customers or the time needed to write up the script for a training call you’re putting on could very well be the gap between success and failure. This means you need to outsource the still important tasks that you don’t need to handle and these would include your ezines, article marketing, and blog posts to name a few.

You’ll have the time to work the tasks you need to work to see the income you’ve dreamed of having and you’ll be able to work your business in the way you want because you won’t have to take the time to do the tasks that indirectly grow your business.

Today is a really snowy day and in a lot of places they’ve canceling school because of the cold temps and the amount of snow. We had four inches of snow fall in about four hours time. That’s a lot of snow in a short amount of time. Communities back East have had something like 13 snow days so far. All I can say about that is WOW!

When you’re a work at home mom it can be a huge challenge to say the least. It’s hard to work a business when you have kids running around playing and having a good time. It’s also hard when they need your undivided attention.

Planning ahead is difficult at best, but it must be done or you won’t have success with your home business during snow days. The best thing to do is plan activities that can be done no matter what happens and also be prepared to use your plan at any given time.

There are many things you can do to reach success while your children are at home due to a snow day. Here are two tips that will help you reach that success.

1. Schedule your time as much as possible. Work as long and as hard as you can while the children are asleep. If you know ahead of time that school will not go on, don’t wake the children up. Let them wake up on their own. This will give you more time to get your work done.

If it’s possible, you might consider working later in the evening so your spouse can take care of the children or while they’re asleep again. This will give you more time to work, but it will also give you the ability to spend time with the children.

2. Taking the day off and spending it with your children might just be what you all need. While it may be difficult for you to do this, your children will feel so special and they’ll have a wonderful day.

You’ll have to work extra hard for the next day or two so you can get caught up, but if your children will only be out for a day, you might be able to make this happen and it won’t be too bad. You can still work before they get up, while they take a nap, or after they go to bed, but it will still allow you to spend time with them.

No matter what the reason is for your children having a day off, it’s possible to still work your business if you plan ahead and work your plan. The tips above are just a few of the many you can consider and work into your business. When you know what you’re plan is you’ll have success when your children are out of school.

Well the month of January is almost over and I’ll tell you I have learned so much in the last two months. I’ve been doing some thinking and checking on my statistics. I’ve learned that my readers would rather read posts made by me than they would articles I’ve written. I say this because my traffic was higher on days where I actually wrote the post rather than posting an article.

So I’ve decided the blog posts need to be more from me and the articles need to be on the directories. So I’m making some changes for February so I can continue to see if this is the case. If February’s traffic turns out the way I think it will then I’ll know my thinking is correct and that’s what I’ll need to do.

I managed to reach another goal early which is a great feeling. I’m so happy about my accomplishments and I just know I’ll be able to continue to reach my goals if I continue doing what I’m doing. I hope your month was as good as mine. Share your accomplishments in the comments below.
