Writer’s block is hard to deal with at times. Depending on what you write and how much you need to do, it can feel like it’s the end of the world. It can last for days or weeks, but that can feel like forever at times and that’s not good.

The best thing to do is to avoid writer’s block if it’s at all possible. Now you may think that’s the hardest thing to do, but I’m here to tell you it’s not as hard as it may seem. To avoid writer’s block you must prepare yourself for the time to come.

To prepare yourself for writer’s block you need to brainstorm on ideas to write about. It’s a good idea to do this daily so you always have ideas to consider. It doesn’t mean you need to always revert to that list when you sit down to write, but it will be there if you run dry on things to write about.

Another way to handle writer’s block is to have a brainstorming session with your Virtual Assistant. When you do this together you’ll find you may be able to come up with topics you would have never thought about on your own.

Rewriting old posts is another way to handle writer’s block. You can take an article or post you’ve already written and write it again with a different point of view. You may also find some of your older posts may have content that’s not valid anymore or that techniques have changed. When you rewrite those articles or posts you’ll have new content quickly.

Another option to overcome writer’s block is to hire a ghostwriter. Your ghostwriter will be able to take a look at your past articles or blog posts and come up with content or she can take a few suggestions from you and come up with more on her own.

While you may think writer’s block is a horrible thing and it will be more than difficult to overcome, when you use these suggestions, you’ll find it may not be as hard as you once had thought. Using these suggestions will help you to overcome writer’s block quickly and easily.

Growing your business online and offline is important. It doesn’t matter what type of business you run, you always have the potential and the ability to grow locally. One thing you must know is there is nothing wrong with growing your business online and in other locations, but it’s important to grow locally when you can.

One of the best ways to grow your business is through business cards. They give you the ability to share your business with others and have a way for them to remember you when they need you. Your business card should contain your name, phone number, email address, and website. This information might change depending on the way you want people to contact you. Once this information is on there you’ll want to include a brief ad so people know what your business is about and what you do.

There are a number of ways you can use your business cards to grow your business. You can use them to remind your current customers that you’re there for them and this can be done when they place an order with you or when you have an in-home party. Most times when a card is given in this manner it will be placed in a wallet or on the fridge.

Another way to use your business card to your advantage is have them with you when you go to the grocery store or mall. When you see people you know or you strike up a conversation while waiting in line you’ll have a card you can hand out to let these people know how to reach you. You shouldn’t just hand them to people, but instead hand it out when you’ve talked to people about what you offer.

Some people create packs to give away to others and this is another way to use your business card to grow your business. These packs include samples, flyer’s, business cards, and other items that could gain the interest of those receiving the pack. You’ll want to make sure the packs you choose are geared to your market. These may be found locally or online.

The important thing to remember is your business card can help you grow your business locally and offline. When you create the best business card you can and you hand them out to people, you’ll see an increase in the traffic to your site and you’ll grow your business.

When you find you need help with tasks, it’s a good idea to outsource certain tasks to a Virtual Assistant. When you set a business goal of outsourcing tasks within your business you’ll find it’s easier to grow and not have the stress you may find you’re experiencing otherwise.

There are so many different tasks within your business that can be outsourced. Some of these tasks you may know would be outsource worthy while others you may not have thought about, but you must consider them in order to grow. There will come a time where you’re going to stop growing and the reason for that is because you won’t have time to do more to make it happen. When you outsource certain tasks your business will grow.

The best tasks to outsource would be the ones that don’t make you money, but are necessary in order for it to happen. These tasks would include, but are not limited to email management, newsletter or ezine management, social networking posts, article marketing, blog posts, and website maintenance. To find the tasks within your business that are worth outsourcing, you must look at every thing you do and find the ones you don’t have to do yourself.

While you’re reviewing your business looking for the tasks you can outsource, you’ll find the ones you can’t outsource will come to light. Once you outsource those tasks to a Virtual Assistant you’ll find you have more time to do those tasks that require you or that directly make you money. These tasks are specific to your business and they would include, but again are not limited to business presentations, coaching calls, client work, or customer call backs.

Outsourcing certain tasks can be a very difficult thing to do when you first start doing it, but over time it will become easier for you and you’ll wonder how you worked your business before. You’ll find the growth you’ll have with your business will be amazing and you’ll want to continue to grow even more so you’ll outsource more so you can add more to your business and have time to make it happen successfully.

During the holiday season advertising is a must if you want to grow. People won’t know what you offer or how you can help them if you don’t show them. There are a number of different ways to advertise your business during the holiday season or for any time of year for that matter. Here are a few.

1. Banner or button ads
2. Text ads
3. Link ads
4. Facebook or Twitter ads
5. Facebook or Twitter parties
6. Article marketing
7. Blog posts
8. Online parties

Each of these will work if you do them correctly. Banner or button ads, text ads, and link ads will only work if you place them on sites that are geared to your market. For example, if your business deals with baby items, you wouldn’t want to place an ad on a site specifically for men. You want your market to see your ad and if it’s placed on a site that’s not geared to your market, it’s not going to happen.

Facebook or Twitter ads are ones you write and post on your profile page. Make sure you write your ads so they’re geared to your market and that you make them want to click through. This may be a challenge with the limited number of characters, so you might consider using a blog post to do it.

Article marketing gives you the ability to increase the traffic to your site based on the bio you use. One thing to remember is your articles will be viewed during any time of year, so you might not want to write it so it’s specifically for the holidays. While this will work on holiday type articles, if you only have your holiday link up for a short time, you run the risk of losing them because the page doesn’t exist.

Your blog is a great way to increase the traffic to your site which is perfect for the holiday season. One way to do this is to write posts that are geared to your holiday products or services. Make sure you don’t write your posts like an ad. Try to show your market why they need to purchase your product or use your service. Make sure you include deadlines or the day you’ll stop offering this so people that read it months later won’t think they can get the special.

Online parties are a great way to share your site and business with others. During the holiday season there are vendor parties and holiday vendor fairs and these are perfect for business owners to participate in. They give you the ability to share your business and have a lot of people advertising it along with you.

Advertising your business during the holiday season is the only way people in other locations will know what you offer and how you can help them with their purchases. These eight suggestions will help you to make it happen. The best way may not be listed here, but you need to consider these just to be sure.

Using traditional marketing techniques like blog posts and social networking will only go so far when you’re trying to grow your business. More than likely, you’re going to continue to place yourself in front of the same people week after week and that’s only going to take you so far.

While those techniques are important and they’re something you should continue to use regularly, it’s also a good idea to include other techniques that will make you money over and over again.

One technique that most people don’t take into consideration is the teleseminars. These are done over the phone and could include the computer if you choose. Teleseminars give you the ability to share information with a lot of people at one time and you’ll have the ability to include people from other countries. These also give you another way to increase the money you’re earning for your business. You can charge a small fee for the information they’ll receive while on the call.

Once you’ve created the content for your teleseminar, you’re ready to find the phone number and set the date. These are tasks you can assign to your Virtual Assistant. She can do research online to find the sites that offer phone numbers for people to use. You’ll need to be careful when it comes to the option you choose because some have limits to the number of people allowed while others don’t offer you the ability to record your call.

Recording your call is a great way to share it with those that weren’t able to attend and it gives you another option for bringing in more money. You can send the recording to those that attended for free and then add a fee for those that weren’t able to attend. Your Virtual Assistant can help you handle this, so you won’t have to worry about it getting done. Another option you have is to have your Virtual Assistant transcribe the recording so you can offer the print version to your customers as well.

Teleseminars are a good way to share your information with large numbers of people at the same time. They also give you the ability to increase your income and grow your business with very little work on your part. You do the work once and then offer it on your website for additional money. When you use your Virtual Assistant to help, it’s even easier to increase your income through Teleseminars.

Corrie Petersen runs a successful Virtual Assistant business. She enjoys helping business owners reach success through the services she offers. If you’re ready to take your business to the next level, click here to see how she can help.

Growing your business is a must when your only source of income is from your business. In order for this to happen, you must continually work your business. There are a number of ways to do this, but they need to be done on a regular basis.

1. Article Marketing

One of the most important things you need to do is article marketing. Writing articles and submitting them to article directories is what you need to do to make it happen. You can either do the writing yourself or you can hire a ghostwriter to make it happen. Your ghostwriter may be willing to submit the written articles to directories or you may need to hire a Virtual Assistant if you don’t have time to do it yourself.

Article marketing promotes your business through the bio you include at the end of your article. You’ll also be able to promote your business through the profile page you set up on the article directories. Most directories offer the profile so you’ll need to make sure it’s always current and that your links work.

2. Social Networking

Another important task you need to do to promote your business is to use social networking. Social networking sites like Twitter and Facebook are valuable when used correctly to promote your business. It’s important to not only promote your business, but to communicate with others and offer tips to your followers. It’s important to build trust with your followers and that won’t happen if you only promote your business.

3. Blog

One last task you need to do regularly for your business is write for your blog. Your blog is a great way to share things about your business with your readers. These can be highlights about specific products or services, tips that will help your readers, and information about your field that will encourage your readers to use your business over someone else.

When you use these three tasks with your business , you’re sure to see growth. While it’s not going to be immediate, if you do it weekly at the least, you’ll see it happen over time. It’s important to find out how to do it correctly and these tips will help you to have a better understanding of how to do that so you can make it happen.

Your blog is one of the best ways to increase traffic to your site. When you post tips and suggestions that are geared to what you offer, your readers will come back for more. The ideal way to increase the traffic to your blog is to post daily. That can be a huge challenge when you have a family and run a business. There are several things you can do to make the posts easier for you.

Creating a blog calendar will help with the topics. Creating a calendar with topics for each day of the week will give you ideas for each day. You can use the ideas or you can write on whatever comes to mind. One way to always know what the topic is for a specific day is to come up with something that goes with the day of the week. For example, Wordless Wednesday is a great topic for your Wednesday post.

Now what I’ve done is created two topics for each day. That way I’m not doing the same type of post each day. Of course, it depends on the content for your blog as to what your categories will be. For Wednesday, mine are Wordless Wednesday’s and Writing Wednesday’s.

Another way to make it easier to make daily posts to your blog is to have guest bloggers. When you have a guest blogger post to your blog, they get credit for the post in the form of a bio. You can either tell your guest bloggers what to write about or you can give them generic topics and they can go from there on the content.

While guest bloggers are good for helping you with content, it’s not a good idea to use them too much. I don’t recommend using guest bloggers more than once a week. You want fresh content for your blog, but you want it to be your own as well. Since your blog is how you get your readers to purchase from you, it’s a good idea to use your own content as much as possible.

Growing your business is the most important thing you want to do, so it’s important to find ways to make it happen. Your blog is one way to make that happen. When you use these suggestions, you’ll have a better chance of scheduling daily blog posts, which will increase your traffic and ultimately grow your business.

A lot of people think social media is the only thing they need to do to grow their business. Social media is an important tool needed to grow, but it’s not the only one that’s needed. One thing you do with social media is build trust with your market, but it’s not the only way you should do it.

Another way to build trust is to use article marketing. Article marketing gives you the ability to show others you’re an expert in your field through words. Having an article published online is no different than having it published on paper. People read them and feel an expert wrote it as long as it’s good quality and the information is correct.

One of the most important things to remember when it comes to article marketing is that your article won’t do you any good if you don’t submit it to article directories so others can read them. Allowing your articles to collect cyber dust is like throwing money down the drain. It’s just not good, but if you don’t have time to make the submissions, that’s what you may find, is happening with your articles.

Instead of allowing the cyber dust to collect, consider hiring a Virtual Assistant to take over and handle your article marketing tasks. When you do this, you’ll still have all the control, but you won’t have to worry about losing business because it’s not getting done.

Another daunting task that will lose you money is to not have your blog in front of your market. People will come and go in your market, but if you don’t have your blog out there for them to see, they’ll never know you exist and that you’re there to help them with their needs.

As hard as you may try, this is not something you can do on your own. This is why it’s important to submit your blog to the blog directories. When you do this you’ll have added exposure and the new people to your market will see it. This is another one of those tasks that many don’t do because it doesn’t directly make you money, but if you think about it for just a minute, you’ll see it does make you money. When you put your blog in front of your market they’re going to click through to see what you offer. If they’re interested they’ll go to your site, and it’s a chain reaction from there.

While your site is ultimately the winner when it comes to the traffic, without your market seeing your blog, they may never get to your site and if that happens, your site is not the winner. This is why it’s important to submit your blog to the blog directories. You only have to do this once as most of them require your RSS feed so it continually shows the most recent post.

This is another one of those tasks your Virtual Assistant can handle for you. She can go to all of the blog directories and submit your blog for you if she’s given the right information. The best thing to do is go to one or two sites to see what they’ll need and then create a document with this information. This will save her time and you’ll be able to have your blog on the directories quicker.

Your Virtual Assistant can help you with so many different things, but two of the most important tasks would be article marketing and blog directory submissions. These two tasks are very important in the growth of your business.

You can’t expect the article directory you submit it to, to handle all of the promoting for you. It just won’t happen.

That’s why it’s important to submit your articles to directories and then promote it with all the tools available to you. There are a few article directories that give you the ability to include your Twitter information and they’ll post it to your profile once it’s approved, but most directories don’t have that ability. Every article directory I’ve used offers a share button for each article and that’s what you need to use to promote it.

Click here to read an article I wrote that talks about using Twitter to market your articles. You’ll find valuable information that will help you to increase your readership and the traffic to your site. It’s a good idea to use these tips with every article you publish so you continue to reap the benefits for years to come.

As a business owner do you feel you can’t afford to add a Virtual Assistant to your team? If you feel this way, you’re not the only one. Thousands of business owners feel this way, but you need to know something very important. It’s possible you can’t afford not to hire one.

Step back from your business for a minute and look at what you need to do each day to grow your business and see success. Now look at your business to-do list and compare the two. Are you getting everything done in a day or is your to-do list a rolling list that contains that same items day in and day out that aren’t being completed?

It doesn’t really matter if you’re a small home based business or if you’re a larger business, more then likely, you have a rolling to-do list and you’re continually not getting things done. If you were to hire a Virtual Assistant she could handle those tasks that don’t require your direct attention and you’d be able to wipe them off the list.

One thing that makes business owners feel they can’t afford to hire a Virtual Assistant is the hourly rate. One thing to remember is a Virtual Assistant only charges for time worked. You don’t pay for lag time and you don’t pay for her to sit and wait for you to give her work. That right there is a huge money saver.

When you have a regular employee you pay them regardless of what they’re doing. They could be sitting at the computer playing a game because they don’t have any work to do. That’s not good, so it’s best to hire a Virtual Assistant and stop paying for those unproductive hours.

Virtual Assistants usually charge by the hour and that’s what you’d pay a regular employee, but here’s something you can’t do with a regular employee. Most Virtual Assistants offer retain packages giving you discounts for a certain number of hours. There isn’t an employee out there that’s willing to drop there hourly rate for multiple hours, but a Virtual Assistant will do that for you.

Now that the thought of hiring a Virtual Assistant has been placed in your mind it’s time to consider hiring one. Think about the tasks you do or don’t get to that could be outsourced to a Virtual Assistant. These tasks could include email management, blog post scheduling, social media scheduling, newsletter/ezine management, and data entry just to name a few.

Take those ideas and think about your business and how a Virtual Assistant could help you reach your goals and help you achieve success. Once you’ve made that list start searching for the right one. Ask for referrals from your friends and business acquaintances. Interview ones you find and hire the one that meets your needs. Once you find the right Virtual Assistant you’ll wonder how you ever managed your business before she came along.

Corrie Petersen runs a successful Virtual Assistant business. She enjoys helping business owners reach success through the services she offers. If you’re ready to take back your to-do list and start reaching success click here.
