Starting a business can be scary. Don’t let it be so scary that you either give up before you get started or you give up shortly after you start.
Finding ways to get your business noticed can be one of many challenges you are faced with each day. Being creative when you market and advertise can be helpful and fun, but when you know what you are doing it’s even better.
Your best bet, when you first get started in business, is to stick with the basics and the things people have proven to work. You don’t want to reinvent the wheel. Stick with what people have already done. You can do the fun and creative ways later when you are making money and gaining clients.
One thing you need to remember is consistently do the same thing. Yes, I know that can be boring, but it works. Studies show you must put your business in front of people 5-7 times before they will consider looking at the product you offer. That’s why it’s a good idea to pick a few methods and stick with them for at least a month.
You need to market and advertise your business online for at least two hours a day. This is important in both consistency and growth. You won’t grow your business otherwise. We all know the only way to make money is to grow the business. Isn’t money the reason we work a business?
With all that said, you may be wondering what the best ways to grow your business are. There are tons of ways to grow your business. The internet is a wonderful place to grown your business. You can reach people from all over the world.
Here are a few of my favorite ways to show people your business.
• Networking
Networking online can be so much fun when you do it online. You can join networking sites Ryze.com and Twitter.com to network. When you do this you need to answer questions people post, give feedback, sign guest books, and post questions and pieces that are interesting to you.
• Articles
When you write articles you become an expert in your field. People will trust what you say and begin to trust you as a person. You will want to write articles on topics that are in line with your business. Once you write those articles you need to submit them to article directories.
• Solo Ads
Solo Ads are usually done by someone else. You pay a small fee, send them your ad, and they will submit it to Yahoo, MSN, or Google groups. Your ad is text only and is sent to a large number of people.
• Text Ads
Text ads are on websites that sell advertising. They are usually a small amount of words and have a link to your website. These ads can be anywhere from three words to 40 words. It depends on the site you place your ad on.
These ways are probably the easiest ways to grow your business. They are also the easiest to learn how to do.
If you do these on a regular basis, you will start to see an increase in the traffic to your site. When you see the increase, you will start to see an increase in sales.
Good luck and remember one thing. Don’t give up!
